Is TalkCharge a Scam? BEWARE | TalkCharge is a Big Scam?

Nowadays new recharge and cashback websites/apps are popping up every day to attract new people using the internet. Many of them are legit and provide good services. But some of them are so fraudulent that you can't even imagine their big plan. They capture people by giving attractive offers and eventually run away with the without a note. Is Talkcharge one of them? Is Talkcharge a scam? What is the model of TalkCharge?

A very recent fraud app case known by the name Power bank app has gained a lot of popularity. In this case, 11 men cheated a sum of Rs. 150 crores using their fake app on the play store called power bank. The work of this app is very simple. You have to deposit a fixed amount of money and the app will give a small amount of money per month with some bonus amount. But, the criteria was you have to keep that money for several months as it is to get the monthly return.

TalkCharge is a Big Scam? Is TalkCharge a Scam?

As you saw the case of the power bank app above which attracts people to get a large premium on their money if they keep the money in their wallet for several months. Eventually, what happened to the power bank app? The owners were all set to leave the country with all the money people like you and me have deposited, creating a sum of Rs. 150 crores.

As the work style of fraud apps like power bank is very similar to that of the app Talkcharge. From the outside, Talkcharge says that they are a cashback website/app. This means if you go to e-commerce sites like Amazon/Flipkart through them and purchase something. You will get some percentage of spending as cashback in their app. That cashback you can redeem to recharge your mobile phone or transfer to a bank account.

But, this is what they say from the outside, their main app works on holding people's money and giving some amount every month. One of their recent offers is: Deposit Rs. 4999 and get Rs. 6250 cashback. Every month you will get some cashback that will increase as the year ends. After 1 year you can use your initial deposit of Rs. 4999. So, For a deposit of Rs. 4999 you will have Rs.(4999 + 6250) = Rs.11249 after 1 year. That is more than 100% return on your investment. Isn't it too good to be true? Isn't TalkCharge offers sound like the fraud app “Power bank's” offers? Isn't Talkcharge a Fraud?

Is TalkCharge a Scam?

We dig deep about TalkCharge and try to find more and more information. But, Surprisingly this app hasn't mentioned a hint about its business model anywhere at all. They didn't mention anywhere how they are able to provide more than 100% return on people's investments. Everywhere they just brag about being a good affiliate cashback website.

In a recent interview with your story, the founder of TalkCharge Shivani Maheshwari revealed that she and his partner Ankush Katiyar are the only owners of TalkCharge. They didn't raise any funds since their beginning in 2015. It means that everything of Talkcharge money, finance, etc is controlled by just these two people. Does that ring any bells in your head? Fewer people means fewer connecting strings equal to a very easy escape.

If that is not enough, let me tell you that their app on the play store was last updated in 2020. So, no investment to enhance the , no innovation or entry into new business domains, and absolutely nothing is changing. Then How is able to provide more than 100% return on investment?

So, for the final verdict, Talkcharge seems to be a complete scam to me. Currently, they are piling money by adding more and more people to their platform via attractive schemes. Once they archive a big number they will disappear without leaving a trace.

Therefore, in my suggestion, you should maintain a distance from apps like TalkCharge. Don't become prey of these cheating apps and lose your hard-earned money. Thank you very much for reading this post. Please leave your comments in the comment section below.

  1. seems pretty ok to me. when ola was launched in bangalore, there was an offer on adding money on ola wallet where user would get upto 5000 extra. basically you would get double the amount in your ola wallet.
Just because the offer is good, does not mean that the company is fraud or it is a scam. sometimes, it is just to grab more attention and traction from new customers.
